Hide-away Cove

The Hide-away Cove is the perfect place to explore Owyhee's rock formations, go for a swim or fish away from the open water and boats. This is a great half day trip across the lake with lots to offer for most paddler levels!

The Great Wall

The Great Wall is one of the first things you will notice when entering Lake Owyhee State Park. A massive towering rock wall that overlooks the state park, this is a quick paddle to the other side of the lake and can be a done in an hour (round trip) or extended into a leisure half day trip.

Painted Cove

One of the most popular and stunning sites across from McCormack Campground. this cove is full of colorful rock formations and is a must see. Always be careful of loose, falling rock when you are near the sides of the canyon, especially during or after recent rain fall.

Indian Creek Island

One of the most convenient and easy paddle from Indian Creek Campground this Island, and usually Peninsula depending on water level, is a great place to paddle to explore, fish and take in the wild landscape. Paddle around the Island/Peninsula in only a few minutes from Indian Creek!
